Seaweed Silhouettes

Lots of different materials and processes went into this piece! I hand-marbled handmade paper with oil paint, and from there I cut the sheets into pieces to create the collage effect. I secured the pieces to Bristol with Modge-Podge, and once that dried I painted the seaweed with black acrylic paint and gold ink.
Inspired by the underwater views of the sky and boats one sees while scuba diving.
